This 4-Pack Bundle includes 2 Old Testament Books, the New Testament Book and the Book of Mormon Aqua Brush Book for ultimate savings.
We created these activity book especially to help children quietly engage with the scriptures on their level so both parent and child have a better chance to learn about the gospel during church meetings. That being said, you will want to take this everywhere: in the car, on the airplane, to the doctor's office, or anywhere else you need to entertain your child.
GOSPEL LEARNING: Each book is designed to engage kids with the scriptures in four ways. First they paint the scripture scene, then they find the hidden images. As they grow older they can also read about the story and ponder the questions to build understanding. Spiritually, this is a great, mess-free, activity best for kids from 3 to 5 years old.
3 WAYS TO DEVELOP YOUNG MINDS:
1. Practice Fine Motor Skills while painting over and over
2. Develop Cognitive Skills to find hidden pictures
3. Use Verbal Skills to process questions about each scene
EASY TO USE: The chunky Aqua Brush is easy to fill with just a little bit of water so your child can paint with water.
NO MESS: Forget the messy markers, crayons, pens and pencils that fall everywhere and ruin your furniture. With this book all you need is your Aqua Brush that is included and a little bit of water to paint these magical gospel scenes.
REUSABLE: Paint each scene with water, let it dry, and then paint again for endless fun.
DESIGNED TO TRAVEL: The compact size makes it easy to include in a purse, backpack or diaper bag. Use a water bottle or drinking fountain to fill the Aqua Brush, and your artist is ready to go.
BEAUTIFUL ILLUSTRATIONS: Each scene was especially created to engage young minds with bright colors, surprising hidden things, and fun characters.
This is a must have in every mama’s to-go bag.
We own a lot of the Melissa and Doug Water Wow books and were so excited to see this similar option with scripture stories from Kanga Toys. I wouldn't say these books are quite the same quality as Melissa and Doug but they're still pretty good and my kids enjoy them.
For those who are interested, the biggest difference is in the water brushes. The bristles are stiffer and the plastic feels cheaper. They leak more easily and don't let water out to paint as easily as the M&D brushes. My kids ended up just using brushes from our Melissa and Doug books on these books cause they like them more. Other kids who aren't as experienced with the Melissa & Doug brushes might not be bothered by the Kanga Toys brushes.
The other difference is in the quality of the pages, they curve when wet but do seem to flatten out when they're dry. We got the 4 pack and one of the backs was attached a little off center so it sticks out to the side. Another book had some scratches in the white material that you paint over to reveal the picture beneath. The lines are not visible when wet, only when dry so its not a big deal, just a bit of a ding to the quality.
The books were mailed to us all stuffed together in a bubble mailer, I was concerned that there might have been damage in shipping cause they weren't well protected but they were ok. Maybe the bubble mailer is enough.
All that said, I'd buy them again (on sale) because of the content in the books and the fact that this is not a giant company like Melissa and Doug so the quality cannot easily be the same. Super awesome idea. I look forward to seeing the product improve and the company grow!
My kids loved them! Worked great during Stake Conference on Easter Sunday!
